e are three and a half months into life as a family of four and let me tell you, it’s chaotic. Arguably it’s been easier for us as our first is a little bit older than the average older sibling but I’m constantly on the move, cleaning something, caring for someone, making sure everyone is fed, laundry is done, etc. It’s a never-ending job and one that’s easy to put yourself on the back burner. There’s so many things that fall by the wayside but today we are diving into the realm of clothing. It’s the first thing that falls off for me but it’s also an easy one to fix. Clothes make you feel good and can help bring you back from a little rut. That being said, I’m thrilled to be partnering with the Gap to bring you some easy mom outfits and inspiration. Let’s get started, shall we?!
Wide-Legged Jeans: My Polished Mom Look
I’m fully in my wide-legged jeans era. Number one, they are giving Victoria Beckham vibes – which I’ll take any day – and number two, they give the illusion of incredibly long legs that go on for days. I can tell you with full certainty that my legs are not as long as both pants in these outfits make them look. I went with a cream colour pair and an indigo/dark wash pair. Both pairs are incredibly versatile and are the perfect base to make mom outfits. As an added bonus, the cream colour pair will take me into the spring/summer and we all know I’m all about versatility

Proportion Play When Creating Outfits
Okay, so we get the whole, wide legs on the bottom so tighter on top but what about when we don’t want to do that?! What if we are having a day where we want some loose-ness at the top without feeling too frumpy. Days where we’d rather be wearing polished mom outfits, not shleppy mom outfits. You can do it for sure. I’ve seen some ultra stylish moms go with oversized tops and bottoms and they somehow rock it. When you’re uncertain of that, you could go oversized but you could also go mid-sized like I did with this cardigan and the indigo denim below. The key here was the front tuck to define the waistline and that way you still get some good proportions.
Isn’t that easy?! The Gap makes creating mom outfits a breeze and now you have some easy tips for how to style your wide legged jeans. The best part is at the time of writing this post, both jeans are $47.98 each. You get 40% off regular priced items, 60% off sale item and an additional 10% off with code TREAT.
